Barbara Dierker - Interim Executive Director
Barbara serves as the Interim Executive Director for Eva's Heroes overseeing all operations of the organization while being responsible for day-to-day communication for the entire organization. For 15 years, Barbara made a positive impact on the lives of a myriad of students in her role as a special education instructor with Northside Independent School District in San Antonio. During her tenure at Pat Neff Middle School, Barbara served as the Special Olympics Coach for 13 years. In 2000, she received the honor of Teacher of the Year at Pat Neff Middle School. She also attained the accomplishment of St. Pius X Catholic School Alumna of the Year in 2006 for her efforts as a special education teacher, yearbook editor and community volunteer.
Barbara graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. She received Special Education certification through the T.O.P.P. Alternative Teacher Certification Program at San Antonio's Region 20 Education Service Center.
Jennifer Bloch - Lead Teacher
Throughout her career, she has employed diverse techniques which encourage her students to socialize and work cohesively in small groups. From California to Texas, Jennifer has shared her love for young adults with intellectual challenges through the gift of teaching.
Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Special Education from California State University Chico in 2004. During her educational career, she also obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching and Education Specialist Credentials.
